Squash blossom necklace made by a Navajo silversmith with deep red Italian coral and sterling silver. The central aaja (3”L x .4”W x 2.25”H), or crescent shaped pendant, is a symbol of fertility and abundance, along the blossoms that run up each side of the necklace, decorated with silver leaves, twisted rope and dots. Strung on a double strand of bench-made silver beads with traditional hook and eye clasp. Unsigned.

Large sterling silver and turquoise Zuni cluster statement ring made prior to 1960. Each natural turquoise stone is hand filed down to the shape of petit point (or teardrop), snake eye (round), and triangle shapes. The top of the shield is also decorated with silver dots and twisted wire. Size 11.25.

Large bale and ball clasp finish the other end with an elegant long sterling silver chain on which hang it, 36”L. Overlay technique bracelet with heavy solid 14K gold beads, bezel, and chiseled molding fused on top of a sterling silver base, set with five large, turquoise nuggets. Custom made by Alvina Quam, a famous Zuni jewelry maker, in 1982. Stamped with her initials AQ, in the style of her famous mother Alice in the 1960s. Stones from the Bisbee mine in Arizona, known for the bright blue color and gem-like quartz crystals in the stone.

With an Art Deco face that would be at home at Jay Gatsby’s lavish parties, this unique vintage 14k gold ring is a stunner!

Is has a large Chinese-inspired black onyx shaped like a doughnut for the central stone. Four bright white diamonds are set in the chevron-shaped geometric piecework that makes up this one-of-a-kind handmade ring. Marked 585 instead of 14K, which leads us to believe that it is European in origin, but American makers used this mark at times as well. Size 6.5.
