Squash blossom necklace made by a Navajo silversmith with deep red Italian coral and sterling silver. The central aaja (3”L x .4”W x 2.25”H), or crescent shaped pendant, is a symbol of fertility and abundance, along the blossoms that run up each side of the necklace, decorated with silver leaves, twisted rope and dots. Strung on a double strand of bench-made silver beads with traditional hook and eye clasp. Unsigned.

Each natural turquoise stone is hand filed down to the shape of petit point (or teardrop), snake eye (round), and triangle shapes.
